About Us

The name 'Project 3.5' is inspired by political scientist Erica Chenoweth' 3.5% rule, the idea that no government has withstood a peaceful movement supported by at least 3.5% of its population. In Canada, that translates to just over 1.3 million people, roughly the size of Toronto. Our mission is to be part of that transformative 3.5 that makes real change.

We find real-world issues that need to be addressed and investigate to amplify unheard voices, and give them the power to speak up through investigative journalism using multimedia platforms. The first step to solving a social issue is making it visible.
